Big Bang Taeyang First Japan Solo Tour Confirms 4 Additional Concert Dates

Big Bang member Taeyang's new solo album "Rise" has been receiving immense popularity since its release, as it has been ranking high on music charts within Korea and globally.

Taeyang's tour schedule has been altered due to the explosive response from his fans in Japan.

The R&B singer will be releasing his solo album in Japan on August 13 and is scheduled to hold his first solo tour in 3 cities, performing twice in each city for a total of 6 concerts.

The demand from fans was so high after the news of his tour in Japan was released that organizers have added 4 more concerts in 3 more cities for a total of 6 cities and 10 concerts.

This is beyond excellent news for Taeyang, who had stated during an interview last year that he wanted to hold any type of concert, regardless of size or location.

"Rise" has topped iTunes charts in multiple countries so far and will be making his comeback performance on SBS's "Inkigayo" on June 8.

Taeyang's single from the album titled "Eyes, Nose, Lips" was released along with the music video recently, and has been getting intense love from fans as well.

The singer's hit "Ringa Linga" will be featured on "Rise," which is Taeyang's first full-length album since 2010's "Solar," according to Billboard.

During a recent interview with Noonchi, Taeyang opened up about his thoughts on the expansion of K-Pop and how artists in Korea should have an understanding of the phenomenon.

"To be honest with you. . . I'm not saying that our group is so great, or I'm great. But it's like, 'Why? Why do people like K-Pop?' I'm curious. Baffled. Amazed. I feel like it's a great opportunity," stated Taeyang, according to 24-7kpop.

He added, "I'm talking about those who are overseeing entertainment companies and pretty much directing these idols. Many of them are using this opportunity to make money. And I hate that. But do idols realize it? I think they're just happy because they're popular."
