Chris Brown Gets Out of Jail, But Not Free; Prosecution In DC Assault Case Wants to Try Rihanna's Ex-Boyfriend Sooner Than Later

Chris Brown was released from prison just in time to face another trial. Chris Brown's admission of a probation violation may have landed him in front of a Washington, D.C. judge sooner than expected. Rihanna's ex-boyfriend is officially out of jail, but the Prosecution in Chris Brown's assault case wants the trial moved up.

The D.C. trial is over a 2013 incident in which Brown allegedly attacked a person who photobombed a picture outside of Brown's hotel. Brown's bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, was found guilty of assault in the case.

According to multiple reports, singer Chris Brown was sprung from a California jail at midnight on June 2. Brown served 108 days of a 131-day sentence. It is assumed that Chris will be allowed to remain free until he stands trial for an assault charge later in the month.

Brown took to Twitter to tell his followers "Humbled and Blessed. Back to the Music and the Fans... Thank you GOD."

According to The Urban Daily, the prosecutors in Chris Brown's Washington D.C. assault case will attempt to use Brown's admission of violating his Rihanna-related probation to start the DC trial sooner than expected. The prosecutors have asked the presiding judge to start the assault trial on June 25. It is now set as a status conference.

The prosecution insists that the "guilty" does indicate that he was way too involved, and wants the trial to begin as soon as possible, June 25.If Brown is found guilty, he could potentially face jail time as punishment. Brown also could see more jail time on top of that if it is found to be yet another parole violation by a California judge.

On May 9, a decision by Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin sentenced Brown to serve a year in county jail. The Judge gave credit for 234 days, nearly eight months, including time that Brown spent in rehab and another 59 days behind bars. The judge also credited Brown's good behavior while inside.

Chris was originally sentenced to 365 days in custody on May 9. The singer admitted violating his probation stemming from an Oct. 2013 altercation in Washington D.C.

Judge James Brandlin gave him credit for the 234 days he has already spent in rehab and jail. He finally left prison on Sunday after serving 108 days of a 131-day sentence for probation violation, TMZ reports.

Brown was thrown back behind bars because a judge ruled that Brown had violated his probation in the Rihanna case. He could have been sentenced to as much as four years.
