Upcoming ASUS Laptops 2014: The Transformer Book V Gives You 5 Devices At The Price Of One

Are you torn between two device options where you can only afford one because of your limited budget? Apparently, there is now a way for you to get both, and 3 more  - for just one price.

During this year's Computex Expo in Taiwan, a number of Asian tech manufacturers unveiled their creations for this side of the tech world to scrutinize, and once you see this new offering from ASUS, you would surely be pleased that you bothered to read about it.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Taiwanese manufacturer unleashed its new ASUS Transformer Book V. If you're wondering why there is a five symbol in the device model considering that this is definitely not the fifth edition of the series, then you would be happy to know that ASUS calls it "the world's first five-mode, three-in-one converged laptop".

The Transformer Book V packs a 5-inch smartphone, a 12.5-inch tablet dock, and a keyboard. Do not get fooled as all of these components have significant functions for this particular device.

The 5-inch handset runs on Android 4 4 KitKat and gets a quad-core Intel Atom chipset. In addition, it allows LTE connectivity for faster mobile connections.

The tablet dock, where the tablet can slide into at the back is powered by its own Intel Atom chipset, though it runs on Windows 8.1 instead. It even adds 128GB of memory to the mix.

Finally, the keyboard adds another 1TB HDD to the package, making it sweeter than anyone can expect.

Now, you have an Android phone, a Windows 8.1 tablet, and a Windows 8.1 laptop. Now where are the other two 'transformations'?

Apparently, the smartphone can run the tablet on Android, using its own chipset. In addition, the laptop mode is also able to run on Android when the tablet dock is connected to it.

So, does the ASUS Transformer Book V sound like a great deal for you?
