Apple iWatch Release Date Tipped By Supplier To Fall In October, Rumored To Get Curved OLED Display

A couple of years ago, rumors of an upcoming Apple iWatch started, and millions of the company's fans have already been waiting for the Cupertino company to finally unveil it.

Unfortunately, it has already been two years and yet no iWatch.

According to a report from GSM Arena, an unnamed parts supplier to Apple allegedly confirmed that the upcoming iWatch relesae date would be in October. In addition the source mentioned that Apple is aiming to begin the shipping of at least 2 million up to 5 million iWatch units every month.

That just means it is not only us that's expecting the iWatch to be a blockbuster, even Apple itself.

While the source did not particularly mention it, the other two awaited Apple devices, the iPhone 6 and the new iPads could also make their respective debuts in October. In a recent report, a German carrier informed its employees that the new iPhone would be unveiled on September 19, a Friday.

In other reports, the Apple iWatch is now being speculated to come with a curved OLED display. In addition, the device is said to be able to gather data and measure some key health stats such as blood glucose, calorie consumption, sleep activity and blood oxygen levels.

In fact, the entire Apple device could very much be a sensor-filled device. In terms of iPhone pairing, the new iPhones could gather the health data through the Touch ID button and then transferred to the iWatch.

Apple should release the iWatch this year in order to re-assure fans and consumers that it is still at the top of its game. There are already half a dozen smartwatches coming from world-renowned countries, and even a dozen more from all other manufacturers. But like what had happened in the past, the 'first' does not automatically mean the 'best'.
