Michael Schumacher Coma Update: F1 Champion’s Condition Won’t Have Good News? ‘Schumi’ Very Much Present At Canadian Grand Prix

Michael Schumacher's coma update from hereon might be filled with bad news, a former doctor for the Formula One said. Meanwhile, the seven-time racing champion's presence still looms heavily at the Canadian Grand Prix.

Dr. Gary Hartstein said in an interview with the Telegraph that Michael Schumacher's coma condition won't probably get better.

He said: "I can conceive of no possible reason that Michael's entourage, understandably extremely protective of his and their privacy, would not tell his fans if significantly good things have happened."

"I'm quite afraid (and virtually certain) we will never have any good news about Michael. At this point, I rather dread seeing that the family has put out a press release," Hartstein added.

Manager Sabine Kehm earliier provided Michael Schumacher coma update after releasing a statement to Mundodeportivo.com debunking earlier reports that the German racer can already interact with his surroundings.

"Michael Schumacher's health remains unknown while still hospitalized after a serious skiing accident suffered in Dec. 29 last year at the station Méribel (French Alps)," the manager said.

Michael Schumacher's coma notwithstanding, his presence is still felt at the Canadian Grand Prix, and particularly on fellow racer Jacques Villenueve.

"What can you think or say? We don't know what's really happening," he said, as reported by Courier Islander. "What is the truth? All that we know is that it's probably really hard for his family, for his kids and his wife. That's what matters. Apart from that, what can you say?"

Jacques Villenueve won the 1997 Formula One race. During that year, Michael Schumacher tried to ran off Villenueve in the 47th lap during the Spanish Grand Prix. The German racing champion tried to protect his rank in the overall championship standings.

Later, Michael Schumacher apologized for the incident and called it one of the biggest mistakes of his career.
