In an interview with Us Weekly, Woodley talked about her love scene in 'The Fault in Our Stars' and how it's helpful to share such type of scene with someone close to her.

"It's different than most love scenes in 'young adult' films...The more you get to know somebody on a personal level, the more free you feel artistically. It's treated with integrity. They're passionate and a little awkward...but not too awkward," she said.

"The beauty of being an actor is getting to explore different relationships," she explained. "I learned that about Shailene--that she would slap me if I was bad! And I really liked that because she's honest with people, there's no BS and she's not fake, she's a real friend because of that to me," Elgort said.
