The 'Jupiter Ascending' star Eddie Redmayne is now engaged to his two-year girlfriend Hannah Bagshawe. Famous for his roles in 'Les Miserables' and 'My Week with Marilyn', Eddie Redmayne popped the question to his girlfriend Hannah Bagshaw and promptly followed it with an announcement in The Times on May 31. Eddie Redmayne is quite a traditional guy! Hannah Bagshaw must be a happy bride.

The announcement read: "Mr E.J.D. Redmayne and Miss H.J. Bagshawe. The engagement is announced between Edward, son of Mr and Mrs Richard Redmayne of London, and Hannah, daughter of Mr Nicholas Bagshawe and Mrs Caryl Bagshawe, both of London."

It was very thoughtful of Eddie Redmayne to put in an announcement in the papers!

A source told the US magazine that "He had been planning on [proposing] for a while. They have a very relaxed and supportive relationship. They seemed to have always known they were going to spend the rest of their lives together."

Eddie Redmayne also reportedly asked Hannah Bagshawe's father for her hand before popping the question to her! Seems like the 'Les Miserable' actor likes to do it the traditional way.

So who is Hannah Bagshawe? She isn't some fame-chasing Hollywood girl for sure. She is not even an actress! She studied MA in English Literature and French at the University of Edinburgh and now works as a financial publicist. The couple has been dating since 2012.

The couple is a perfect pair, actually. Eddie Redmayne told People Magazine that because he is color blind, Hannah Bagshawe helps him pick out what to wear on the red carpet and for other publicity events. He also told the magazine that he appreciates "a proper sense of individuality" in a woman, and how she is "comfort in [her] skin."

The couple was seen in New Yorks' Upper East Side and at the Met Gala this year. They like to spend some quality time away from their works.

This engagement comes at a great time for Eddie Redmayne as his name has gotten more recognition in Hollywood. The brit has got his start in the theater scene in England, and gradually moved over to film. He has won an Olivier Award as well a Tony Award for his stage performances. Now, he's starring with Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis in an upcoming sci-fi movie, 'Jupiter Ascending'.
