Dancing With the Stars Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Jennifer Lopez Dating? Not according to J.Lo.

Jennifer Lopez took to Twitter to blast rumors that she is dating Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Maksim was most recently linked to his "DWTS" partner Meryl Davis, although they never confirmed they were a couple.

Rumors that J.Lo was dating  "Dancing With the Stars" pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy hit the net this week just one week after news broke that Lopez split from dancer Casper Smart.

Lopez was dating Smart for more than two years. Reports surfaced that Lopez is dating "Dancing With the Stars" pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Jenny from the block was asked by fans on Twitter on June 12 whether she was moving on since she broke up with Casper Smart.

Lopez replied, "No I'm not. (dating anyone new already)."

Jennifer Lopez met Maks Chemerlovskiy at the 2013 American Music Awards last November. J.Lo and Maks shared a dance during Lopez's  tribute to Celia Cruz. At the time Lopez was still going out with her former backup dancer Smart. Maks was dating model Kate Upton. Maks and Kate broke up weeks later. Kate Upton and Maksim Chmerkovskiy split after six months together.

A source told the gossip magazine In Touch that Maks and Jennifer have kept in touch, adding "They're friends." Another source told Us Magazine, "He performed with her on the AMA's. But [they're] just friends."

The NY Daily News' Confidential column reported that Maks and J.Lo "are an item" on Wednesday. People.com reported on the rumors, citing sources saying Jennifer and Maks were "taking it slow due to work commitments."

Maks said the rumors are "always circulating around us dancers. It's fine. That's the nature of what we do. We're always in close proximity to each other. In order to produce what Meryl and I produced, there had to have been so much chemistry, and we had it. And that's what leads people who are not used to that to speculate, which is great. I love that."
