‘Orange Is The New Black’ Cast Laverne Cox Admits She’s Seeing Someone, Opens Up About Her Time Magazine Transgender Cover

'Orange is the New Black' cast Laverne Cox might have a busy schedule because of the series but it does not mean that she has no time for dating. Cox, who plays the role of Sophia, confirmed her dating status to E! News: "I'm managing to find time to date."

"I'm seeing someone but we haven't defined what we're doing. We're just enjoying each other's company and having a very good time and laughing together and supporting each other," added the 'Orange is the New Black' cast.

When asked about her belief in love, she said: "I very much believe in love. I want to be in love and in a partnership with a man. I see myself in love and in a fierce partnership with someone who loves and respects me."

'Orange is the New Black' cast Laverne Cox made history after being the first transgender to cover Time magazine. In the issue, she recalled her traumatic childhood days: "I was bullied and I was called all kinds of names. And now I'm a big TV star! Don't let anything that they say get to you."
She likewise opened up about her gender confusion: "I tell this story about third grade. My third grade teacher called my mom and said 'Your son is going to end up in New Orleans wearing a dress.' Up until that point I just thought that I was a girl and that there was no difference between girls and boys. I think in my imagination I thought that I would hit puberty and I would start turning into a girl."

Apart from filming for the hit Netflix series, 'Orange is the New Black' cast Laverne Cox is producing a one-tour television episode for MTV and Logo. The special will follow the lives of four transgender teenagers.

Cox is also filming a documentary which tells the story of a trans woman sent to a men's prison. In an attempt as well to create eye-opener pieces, Cox decided to start writing a memoir.
