Keanu Reeves To Replace Daniel Craig In "The Whole Truth" After Craig Abandoned The Project Days Before FIlming With No Explanation [PHOTO]

Keanu Reeves has entered into negotiations to replace Daniel Craig in Courtney Hunt's courtroom drama "The Whole Truth."  Production was scheduled to begin in Boston this past April until Daniel Craig left the project, with no explanation, just days before they were set to begin production. The cast and crew went home, leaving the project on tenuous ground.

Producers have spent the past two months scrambling to find a replacement for Daniel Craig on the Nicholas Kazan script. Along with several other changes, the film has also changed its setting from Boston to New Orleans.

Renee Zellweger will remain on the project along with Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Gabriel Basso of "Super 8" fame. Basso will play a teen accused of murdering his wealthy father, and Keanu Reeves will be playing his defense attorney. The Wrap has also learned that Kenneth Choi, of "The Wolf of Wall Street," as well as "Sons of Anarchy" will also play a role as the state prosecutor.

There are also changes being made to the production team, with Richard Suckle and Charles Roven moving to executive producer roles. The film will now be produced by Anthony Bregman Kevin Frake of PalmStar Entertainment, which is financing the project.  The two producers recently worked on the Eisenberg- Kristen Stewart movie "American Ultra." The production team also previously worked with Keanu Reeves on the indie drama "Thumbsucker," and "John Wick"

The film is a folow up to "Frozen River," which recieved two Oscar Nominations, one of which was for the screenplay, the other for Melissa Leo's performance.  Filming is currently expected to start in July.
