2NE1's 'Crush' Listed As One Of FUSE's Top 25 Albums Of 2014

2NE1 has grasped the hearts of fans all around the world with their addictive tunes and stunning visuals.

U.S. based music media outlet FUSE released their list of 2014's best albums (so far) on June 16, and 2NE1 fans will be beyond excited to know that the idol group made it on the list with the second studio album titled "Crush."

The K-pop group has clearly come a long way since their reggae-infused electro-pop days back when they first debuted.

"The K-pop phenoms did not disappoint with a slew of forward-thinking, wholly-accessible tracks," wrote the FUSE staff.

They added, "Crush proves 2NE1's knack for genre-melding from the start, opening with the title track that blends Indian tabla drums and switchboard-button buzzing, followed by the reggae/trap-hybrid single 'Come Back Home.'"

The four-member group's latest album was released back in February and was primarily produced by YG Entertainment's resident songwriting producer and former 1TYM member, Teddy Park. 2NE1's charismatic leader, CL, also contributed in writing lyrics for many of the album's songs, including her solo track "MTBD."

In addition to CL's song, FUSE highlighted the success of the group's hits "Come Back Home," "Baby I Miss You," and "Gotta Be You" as stand out tracks from Crush.

"Crush broke the record for the biggest first-week sales for a K-pop album in America. The set hit No. 61 on the Billboard 200-also breaking the record for the highest-charting K-pop release," added FUSE writer Jeff Benjamin.

The recognition comes just over a week before 2NE1 is scheduled to release the Japanese version of "Crush." The record will go on sale June 25 and will be available in four different versions.

2NE1 is making FUSE's list of this year's best albums along with pop music legends Michael Jackson and Mariah Carey, as well as various international music sensations like Pharrell Williams, Coldplay, and the Black Keys.
