YG Entertainment artists Big Bang and WINNER are scheduled to attend the "a-nation" festival in Japan this summer.

The "a-nation island&stadium fes. 2014 powered by binJELLY" will be held at the Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo, Japan on August 29.

Other K-pop artists that will be attending the event on different dates and segments of the "a-nation festival" include TVXQ, Super Junior's Donghae and Eunhyuk, F.T. Island, CNBLUE and U-KISS, according to the publication Allkpop.

Big Bang was the headliner for the festival 2 years ago back in 2012. This will be WINNER's first time attending the concert, as news of their appearance continues to gain a lot of attention.

Both Big Bang and WINNER have a solid fan base in Japan, as they recently performed for the "YG Family World Tour 2014-Power-in Japan" and have met with over 210,000 fans.

WINNER has grasped the hearts of fans in Japan after their appearance on the survival program "WHO IS NEXT."

The members of the iconic K-pop group Big Bang has been getting the interest of fans in Japan through their solo promotions. Members Daesung and Taeyang are currently busy with their solo albums.

Taeyang recently released his second solo album "Rise," which has been topping music charts internationally.

The R&B singer's hit track "Eyes, Nose, Lips" has become so popular that Korean brother-sister duo Akdong Musician has done a cover of it.

The 26-year-old, who has remained committed to his singing career, noticeably tried his hand at different genres for this specific album, according to The Chosun Ilbo.

"In my previous album, I focused on music that I was sure I could do well. Fans loved it, but I felt too confined and wanted to try new things," Taeyang stated.

The Big Bang member also revealed that on his days off, he sticks to spending time alone.

"I'm quite shy. I spend most of my time in the music studio when I'm not out promoting my music, and if I get bored, I go to the movies or take a bike ride by the Han River. People might find my hobbies boring, but I find them fun," stated the singer.
