2PM Junho First Solo Tour DVD Tops Japan Oricon DVD Chart

K-pop stars have truly been displaying the quickly expanding power of Hallyu with their various music endeavors as of late.

Oricon revealed on June 19 that 2PM member Junho's first solo tour DVD ranked No. 1 on the Oricon DVD chart.

The idol member's DVD also ranked No. 3 on the comprehensive chart.

Big Bang's G-Dragon and Taeyang's recent "G-DragonXTaeyang in Paris 2014" DVD was also seen on the chart, ranking at No. 4.

In the midst of the ongoing success of his solo career, Junho will be holding his second solo tour this summer. He will start in Sapporo in July and continue touring until August, with his final performances in Budokan.

Junho officially made his solo debut in Japan July of 2013, which means his 1-year anniversary as a solo artist is approaching.

Junho was the main producer for his debut album titled "JUNHO." The singer went on a solo tour after the release of his first album, starting from Sapporo (as he will with this upcoming tour) and meeting with fans in five cities in Japan for 12 concerts, according to Yahoo Entertainment.

The 24-year-old pop star had expressed to fans that he wanted to share his own vision in regards to music, as well as create his own image apart from his fellow 2PM members.

"I have been writing songs and some of them were included in 2PM's album. However, this is my first time to have my own album to produce all by myself. I am happy to present new side 'JUNHO' who is different from 2PM's JUNHO. I hope the best," Junho had stated back in 2013 during his solo debut.

2PM will be making a comeback in the near future, despite a couple delays in their schedule.

The group had gathered for a photo shoot and interview with HIGH CUT magazine in May, where they discussed their upcoming comeback, according to the publication 24-7kpop.

"Rather than music that displays serious performance, it's an album that surpasses 'Hands Up' and, as one would say, makes you go crazy. We have also gone out of our minds filming the music video, thinking that we should have fun together with the fans," stated Wooyoung when asked to introduce their new album.
