"Dancing with the Sars" alum Hope Solo was arrested for assaulting 17-year-old nephew and sister at a family party in her house. The Olympic gold medalist was held without bail due to the attack.

In a report by E! Online, the police arrived at the house of "Dancing with the Stars" alum Hope Solo in Kirkland after getting a call from an unnamed man who informed the police that a woman " was hitting people."

The athlete was then arrested just before 1 a.m. of June 21 on allegations of two counts of domestic violence assault in the fourth degree, "which is classified as a gross misdemeanor," the report added.

"Dancing with the Stars" alum Hope Solo was booked around 4 a.m.

According to the police statement, the gold medalist "appeared intoxicated and upset" when the police arrived. The responders also noticed "visible injuries" on her sister and her underage nephew.

"After receiving statements of the persons involved, officers determined that Solo was the primary aggressor and had instigated the assault," they added, per E! Online. If convicted, she would face jail time at a maximum of 364 days or a fine of no more than $5,000.

Meanwhile, "Dancing With the Stars" alum Hope Solo's lawyer Todd Maybrown released a statement to the Associated Press claiming that the athlete herself was also "assaulted and injured."

The lawyer explained: "Hope is not guilty of any crime. In fact, our investigation reveals that Hope was assaulted and injured during this unfortunate incident. We look forward to the opportunity to present the true facts in court and to having this matter behind Hope very soon."

According to London's The Guardian, the latest debacle "is the latest off-field event to affect Solo."

Hours before the "Dancing With the Stars" alum Hope Solo's wedding to Stevens in November 2012, "the former Tampa Bay and Seattle player was arrested on suspicion of assaulting Solo. He was never charged.
