20th FIFA World Cup: How to be a Man of the Match

One of the most awaited awards of the World Cup is the Man of the Match. This grant started since the 1930 tournament. The organizers of FIFA came up with this prestigious honor that will be given away to those players who will work hard and will contribute a great performance to make a big win for their teams. It is surely a something to the selected players to be proud of, such as displaying it in the mantelpiece.

But rumors and other opinion statements declared that in the current FIFA, 2014 World Cup, the Man of the Match award no longer feels like a prestige distinction. They see some heroic actions and standout feats have been overlooked when handing out the great compliment.

It is said because in some plays, the great prize has been given on individuals whose limited force and mediocre performance; also with less screaming people on the pitch "M-V-P!"

What is the Man of the Match's real deal nowadays?

The FIFA page says that this award will be chosen by the people, the fans. The best player in each match will receive a Budweiser Man of the Match depending on the taste and in the eyes of the viewers. Budweiser is one of the sponsors of this World Cup. There are three different platforms in voting for the man. First is on the FIFA website itself that allows the fans to vote in the Liveblog during every single game. Then, the people can also be heard on one of the famous social networking sites of this era, Twitter, through FIFA's channel. The last option is via FIFA App.

The organizers of the association football always promote the voting to be in wisely process. They let the fans decide who's the deserving Man of the Match every kick-off. So it is basically in the hands of the people to give justice in granting this great award. Fifa.com explained that they can vote until the first half of the play ends and can change anytime until the game finishes.
