World Cup 2014 Predictions: Is Shaheen The Camel The New Paul The Octopus? [VIDEO]

Shaheen the Camel may just be the new Paul the Octopus. From the desert in Dubai comes a one-humped camel that is having a go at World Cup 2014 predictions. Can Shaheen the Camel have the same success as Paul the Octopus in his predictions for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa?

According to Gulf News, Shaheen the Camel stars in a daily video prediction of who is set to win the Brazil World Cup 2014 soccer matches of the day.

Though not always accurate, he is winning in terms of probability; Shaheen the Camel has accurately guessed the winner of seven out of twelve matches. Check out his World Cup 2014 predictions daily here.

Shaheen reminds us of another famous critter that predicted the outcome of World Cup games. Back in 2010, Paul the Octopus at Sea Life Centre in Oberhausen, Germany rose to fame when he correctly guessed the winner for 87 percent of the matches he predicted. His keepers would present Paul with two identical boxes containing food, each with the different team flags for the competitors of an upcoming World Cup 2010 soccer game. Whichever box Paul ate from first would be considered his prediction for which team would win the match.

However, Shaheen the Camel is not quite as accurate nor as fascinating. He sits between two flags of the competing teams, and bumps his face against whichever flag he thinks belongs to the winning team of the upcoming match.

Shaheen has his share of haters and lovers.
