Jeremy Meeks wife is allegedly upset because of how female fans are treating her husband's situation. Meeks' mugshots became viral with women praising his looks.

Following his arrest last June 18 because of several violations, several fans created memes using the mugshots. For the first time, Meeks' friend, Simone Johnson, talked to CBS Sacramento about the sentiments of Jeremy Meeks wife.

"She's upset. She's furious. Her man's in there, and people are taking it as a joke thinking it's funny talking about his looks, saying all kinds of crazy things. I wouldn't be surprised if you don't see her at all in the cameras, because she's upset," Johnson said.

Another friend named Rajanique Davis added that people shouldn't be making jokes about a situation that's far from being funny.

Thirty-year-old Meeks and four other men were arrested during a police raid. The father of two currently has 11 felony counts all related to firearm possession and street gang membership.

His mother, Katherine Angier, defended him by saying that he's been a Born-Again Christian for the past 7 years and that her son's former close ties with gangs prompted him to carry a gun all the time for protection.

Meeks spent time in prison following theft charges in 2002 but his family claimed the changes in his life since his first arrest.

"He's a man who learns from his mistakes. He got out of being incarcerated and put his mind on focus to his family and started doing what he had to do," said his brother Bryan Varela.

Stockton Police Department shared Meeks' mugshots on their Facebook page which instantly garnered thousands of likes and comments. As per CBS News, fans couldn't help but comment about Meeks' "high cheek bones, chiseled face, and striking blue eyes."

Meeks is currently imprisoned at the San Joaquin County Jail with bail amounting to $1 million. His mother has created a fundraising page named "Free Jeremy Meeks."
