Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini users can now install Android 4.4.4 KitKat update via custom ROM.

Just weeks after the release of the Android 4.4.3 KitKat, the internet search giant already released a new firmware update for KitKat, the version 4.4.4. And thanks to genius custom ROM developers, Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini who wish to install Android 4.4.4 KitKat update can already do so.

As posted on Android Geeks, the AOKP Nightlies custom firmware has already been released for the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini LTE GT-I9195. But it should be noted that the Android 4.4.4 KitKat custom ROM is only compatible to the LTE variant of the phone, particularly, units with model number GT-I9195.

Furthermore, as listed on the site, below are the changes included in the AOKP Nightlies based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat update: "merged Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS, heads up notifications, auto immersive mode, fullscreen keyboard disable function, NFC polling mode, CRT screen off animation, option to enable and disable menu unlock, multiple bug fixes, RomControl overlay, and others."

Aside from this Samsung smartphone, this custom firmware is also available for OPPO Find 7 2013 LTE. Accordingly, more smartphones will get the AOKP Nightlies support soon.

But since the firmware is an unofficial release, Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini I9195 planning to install Android 4.4.4 KitKat update via the AOKP Nightlies should be extra careful. Any installation mistakes can cause damage to the device.
