Oscar Pistorius Murder Case Trial Resumes On June 30; Story On Girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp’s Death Finally Clear?

Oscar Pistorius murder case trial will resume on Monday, June 30, but question still looms as to whether or not it will that provide a clearer picture into the death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

According to UK's Daily Record, the Oscar Pistorius murder case trial is on break while the "Blade Runner" is undergoing a 30-day psychiatric assessment into what the defense claimed was a bout of Generalized Anxiety Disorder, which contributed to the shooting of his model girlfriend.

He is undergoing evaluation at the Weskoppies Mental Health hospital and the findings will be entered into court as evidence to ascertain whether or not a momentary breakdown caused him to fire his gun on February 14, 2013.

The publication said that Oscar Pistorious only has a fews days left before the psych evaluation will formally be completed.

The Daily Record also said that there are three possible outcomes in the psych evaluation: first is that Oscar Pistorius will be ruled as mentally incapacitated at the time of the shooting, which means he would be ordered to be committed to a mental institution.

Second, he would be found to have "diminished responsibility," which will leave it to the discretion of the judge to render the sentence; and third, "the experts could disagree with the defence psychiatrist."

Meanwhile, Bustle claimed that the conclusion to the Oscar Pistorius murder case trial is not yet in the horizon even if there are only three defense witnesses who have yet to testify. After the defense closes it case, however, the trial will be postponened once again to give time for the two sides to prepare their closing arguments.

"This process could take as long as a whole month," the website said. "In other words, as quickly as the trial will resume, it'll be due for a halt again, and it could take until early August before Judge Masipa rules on Pistorius' fate."
