Lindsay Lohan filed a lawsuit against 'Grand Theft Auto V' makers on the day of her 28^th birthday, July 2. The feud started six months ago when Lohan noticed that one 'Grand Theft Auto V' character which resembled her.

The red-haired female character wears a fedora as well as a pair of aviator sunglasses. In the game, she tries to hide from the paparazzi by saying, "I'm really famous! I didn't do anything - this is my average commute."

"The portraits of the Plaintiff (Lohan) incorporated her image, likeness, clothing, outfits, Plaintiff's clothing line products, ensemble in the form of hats, hair style, sunglasses, jean shorts worn by the Plaintiff that were for sale to the public at least two years," written in Lohan's lawsuit as reported by Forbes.

Lohan believes that several scenes from the game were meant to ridicule her. For example, one scene shows the female character at a building reminiscent of West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont hotel. The player's mission is to take a photo of the female character having sex. In real life, the 'Parent Trap' actress once lived at Chateau Marmont.

Another mission in the game requires the player to help the female character escape paparazzi.

As per TMZ, the 'Mean Girls' star could receive a hefty amount of cash if it has been proven that 'Grand Theft Auto V' intentionally patterned the character after Lohan without the latter's permission.

Meanwhile, several gamers are debating whether the female character is indeed Lindsay Lohan-inspired. Models Kate Upton, Candice Swanepoel, and Shelby Welinder have been associated with the controversial character.

This isn't the first time that Lohan sued someone for allegedly mocking her. Previously, she sued Pitball because of his 'Give Me Everything' single. In the said song, Pitbull joked about being "locked up like Lindsay Lohan."

The 'Just My Luck' actress, however, did not win the case.
