Telltale Studios has had a big day of announcements including the release of the latest installment in the "Walking Dead" video game franchise. They have also announced the release date for "Cry Wolf" the fifth and final episode for the first season of "The Wolf Among Us."

 "The Wolf Among Us," will arrive July 8 on PlayStation 3, Mac and Windows PC, developer Telltale Games announced today. You can watch the trailer here.

Fans who commented on the youtube trailer were rabidly enthusiastic, " Wow. What if there's multiple endings? Like if you side with the Crooked Man, you have to kill Snow. I don't know what's gonna happen!" Another said, "This shit is what Once Upon a Time should have been. Awesome game, awesome story."

The description that accompanied the trailer read "Following a bloody trail of murder and corruption, Bigby Wolf confronts a powerful enemy: a dark force that has been feeding on the desperation of Fabletown's seedy underbelly. But when hidden truths are revealed, you must decide exactly what justice means in the gripping season finale of 'The Wolf Among Us.'"

"Cry Wolf: The Wolf Among Us" will become available for PS3 in Europe and Xbox 360 worldwide the following day, July 9. On July 10, it will arrive on iOS for iPhone and iPad.

The "Cry Wolf" series is based on a Bill Willingham's "Fable" comic series. The first chapter in the series was called, "The Wolf Among Us Episode One: Faith."

The individual episode will be $4.99 on all platforms on which that's an option (PS3, 360, and iOS) and as part of a season pass available on all platforms (or via in-app purchase of episodes two through five as a bundle on iOS).

The murder mystery adventure game series has become something of a cult video game instant classic. Episode 4 ended with a nailbiting cliffhanger, so fans are pretty excited to find out what happens to the main character.
