Oscar Pistorius murder case trial turned bizarre when a video of girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp's killing re-enactment was aired on Australian TV. The "Blade Runner's" lawyers claimed that the video was illegally obtained.

The video footage, which wasn't used in the Oscar Pistorius murder case trial, shows the former Olympian running on his stumps while his right arm was outstretched and trained toward somebody, as he pretended to hold a gun, London's The Guardian reported.

In another sequence, Oscar Pistorius was seen trying to carry a woman-playing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp-after dragging her from the bathroom.

In a statement, lawyer Brian Webber said the defense team hired The Evidence Room, a U.S.-based company, "to visually map the events on the night of the accident" and the video showed that process.

He said the video related to the Oscar Pistorius murder case was obtained illegally by Channel Seven program.

"For the family, the airing of this footage constitutes a staggering breach of trust and an invasion of the family's privacy," he said. However, he said, the footage still supported the former Olympian's version of events during the Oscar Pistorius murder trial.

"Mr. Pistorius did not suffer from a mental illness or defect that would have rendered him criminally not responsible for the offence charged," state prosecutor Gerrie Nel read the report, according to BBC, last week.

Oscar Pistorius was ordered to submit himself for evaluation at the Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital in South Africa for one month after the defense claimed that he suffered from Generalized Anxiety Disorder and couldn't tell right from wrong in relation to the killing of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
