Amanda Knox Murder Case [UPDATE]: Evidence Gathered For Extradition Of Meredith Kercher’s Roommate? Ex Raffaele Sollecito Claims He’s Not Changing Alibi

Amanda Knox murder case updates point to the continued effort of Italian prosecutors to bring the murder convict of Meredith Kercher's killing to justice through extradition as former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito insisted that he's not changing his alibi.

According to UK's Mirror, the Italian prosecutors are now linking Amanda Knox with cocaine dealers, as they claimed that one dealer has already been arrested based on the information they got from the UW student's phone.

They also claimed that "Foxy Knoxy" was communicating with a "known drug dealer" prior to and after Meredith Kercher's murder, and was giving him cash "at an alarmingly fast rate." She was also said to have a sexual relationship with her supplier.

These details were not submitted as evidence during the Amanda Knox murder case trial.

Meanwhile, Amanda Knox's ex Raffaele Sollecito claimed that he's sticking to his alibi, according to UK's Independent.

"Only a madman or a criminal would change versions, and I'm neither mad nor criminal. There's proof that I was at my place and I was watching Japanese cartoons," he said.

When prodded where Amanda Knox was during the time of Meredith Kercher's death, Raffaele Sollecito demurred, saying he will concentrate on his defense. However, he immediately added that he still believed-just like what he said during the Amanda Knox murder case trial-that his former girlfriend was innocent.

"I always believed, and still believe, that Amanda Marie Knox is innocent," he said.

According to CNN, the recent interviews of Raffaele Sollecito were telling in terms of the legal strategy his lawyers are now using.

"The focus was all on Amanda through her peculiar behaviour," Raffaele Sollecito said in an interview with CNN. "In my case I really did nothing wrong and I don't want to pay for someone else's peculiar behavior."

Earlier this month, Amanda Knox murder case trial lawyers asked Italy's Court of Last Resort to review conviction of the UW student on the murder of Meredith Kercher in 2007. The Court of Cassation might issue its ruling on the petition late this year.
