Nicole Brown Simpson Father Dies; Louis Brown Jr., Dies at 90, Thirty Years After O. J. Simpson Verdict

Nicole Brown's father Louis Brown Jr. died on Thursday. Brown was 90 years old.

Attorney Natasha Roit said Nicole's father died in the seaside community of Dana Point.

A statement from the Brown family said Brown fought a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Denise Simpson issued a statement saying "My dad was a class act and a gentleman who was always there for us - and for Nicole. He was a great dad. We are all devastated that he is gone."

O.J. Simpson was acquitted of his wife Nicole Brown's murder in 1995 after a trial that was watched around the world.

A civil jury found O.J. Simpson liable in the death of Nicole Brown in 1997.

Louis Brow told AP at the time "I want to get outside and scream." Simpson was ordered to pay $33.5 million in damages.

Simpson, 66, is currently in jail on a 2008 robbery conviction.

After the trial Louis Brown formed the Nicole Brown Charitable Foundation. The organization helps victims of domestic violence.

Louis was an Army Air Force Captain who flew B-17 bombers in World War II. After the war he became a successful businessman. Brown died surrounded by his wife, Juditha, and daughters, including Denise, Tanya and Dominiqe.
