Gran Turismo 7 Release Date In 2015? More Premium Cars Coming! Polyphony Working On The PS4 Exclusive Racing Game But Won’t Be Ready This Year

It's highly unlikely for Gran Turismo 7 release date to happen this 2014, according to latest hints from the game's developer.

Polyphony Digital confirmed that they are already working on Gran Turismo 7, which will be an exclusive title for the PS4. However, the announcement regarding the game also revealed that Gran Turismo 7 release date might not be set for as early as this year.

The CEO of Polyphony Digital, Kazunori Yamauchi, told Eurogamer during the Goodwood Festival, "We are working on the title. I don't think it'll make this year!"

Furthermore, Yamauchi also said that the upcoming Gran Turismo 7 for the PS4 will not be a Prologue. Instead, the studio is focusing on the full title development of the racing game.

As cited on Trusted Reviews, the creator of Gran Turismo noted, "I don't think it'll be a Prologue."

Fans excited for the Gran Turismo 7 PS4 release should look forward to better audio quality. Players of GT6, the current iteration of the Gran Turismo franchise, are expressing concerns regarding the sound quality of the title. Yamauchi shared that Gran Turismo 6 will receive an update to enhance it.

He further shared, "I think the quality of the sounds in Gran Turismo 6 will be improved but most of the work will be done in Gran Turismo 7."

Moreover, fans of the old GT cars should not be worried about the possibility that these vehicles might be removed. Accordinly, those cars that have been present since 2004 will still be available in Gran Turismo 7. Some of them might even enter the Premium category.

Yamauchi also noted that that are also working in raising the inventory for premium cars in Gran Turismo 7.

He shared, "I doubt that we'll be throwing away the standard cars. Each car has its own fans, so I think we'll hang on to the archive. In the meanwhile, some of those cars we may be able to make into Premium cars as they become available - but basically we're more focussed on increasing the number of premium cars."

Stay tuned for more updates regarding the PS4-exclusive Gran Turismo 7 release date.
