Apple iWatch release date: The wait is almost over in the smartwatch market as Apple is bound to release around 65 million iWatches this 2014. Its launch is expected to team up with the unveiling of the iOS 8 and the iPhone 6—forming a powerful trio that will make any juggernaut device tremble.

Rumors floating that the iWatch may be set to replace the iPod range. However, Apple recently announced that it will continue the iPod line. Hence, the iWatch is more expected to match its other smartwatch competition; it is anticipated to serve as iPhone’s extended hand. Design. Analysts are speculating that the iWatch’s body might be curved and made with flexible glass, resorting to Gorilla Glass as its manufacturer. However, there is still a chance that the smartwatch might be made of sapphire glass, a proud innovation from the GT Advanced Technologies.
