Apple iWatch Release Date: Rumored Wearable Expected To Be Out By Q3 Of 2014; Smartwatch Forms A Powerful Trio With The iOs 8, iPhone 6

Apple iWatch release date: The wait is almost over in the smartwatch market as Apple is bound to release around 65 million iWatches this 2014. Its launch is expected to team up with the unveiling of the iOS 8 and the iPhone 6—forming a powerful trio that will make any juggernaut device tremble.

Rumors floating that the iWatch may be set to replace the iPod range. However, Apple recently announced that it will continue the iPod line. Hence, the iWatch is more expected to match its other smartwatch competition; it is anticipated to serve as iPhone’s extended hand. But because this is Apple we’re talking about, it is definite that we are watching out for something more—much, much more.

Design. Analysts are speculating that the iWatch’s body might be curved and made with flexible glass, resorting to Gorilla Glass as its manufacturer. However, there is still a chance that the smartwatch might be made of sapphire glass, a proud innovation from the GT Advanced Technologies. But the highest bet when it comes to design is the rumoured sleek and simple design that Apple has kept throughout the years. Some mock-ups also suggest that the iWatch might have an almost featureless strap.

Voice Navigation. With the help of Siri, Apple can trail blaze in the competition when it comes to voice recognition software. The voice assistance function can be a snappier help when it comes to simple commands, checking notifications, and even answering calls and messages.

Fitness Bud. There are already numerous smartwatches that feature pedometers, heart-rate monitors, and basic fitness functions. Apple, however, has upped the ante by adding sweat sensors in the iWatch. There are also rumors that prime athletes such as Kobe Bryant are testing the devices during training.

Battery Life. It is said that the prototypes can only last for one or two days. But the heads of Apple are nowhere near satisfied. The company still eyes a battery life that can last up to five days

Anticipated to be released this August or September of 2014, the iWatch is definitely a miniature giant to watch out for.
