Nick Kyrgios Burned Out Post Rafael Nadal? Aussie Tennis Youngster Becomes ATP Ranking 66, Too Tired To Think About Sponsors And US Open 2014

Nick Kyrgios burned the brightest at Wimbledon this year, beating ATP ranking number 1 Rafael Nadal to advance into the quarterfinals. But the flame that burns twice as bright burns half as long, so they say. Nick Kyrgios is already burned out and too tired to even start thinking about sorting out his sponsors and the upcoming US Open.

"I'm just feeling really exhausted," Nick Kyrgios told the Guardian. "I'm just going to relax and not think too far ahead."

Yikes. Is the 19-year-old Aussie tennis player already ready to throw in the towel? His test against Rafael Nadal was grueling, but he definitely had the physique to deal with it. At 6' 4", Nick Kyrgios is one of the tallest players out there. He's probably not done growing yet either.

The tennis whiz does have a lot more growing up to do in this sudden spotlight that he has been thrown into.

"It's something I'm going to have to get used to if I keep having the same level of success that I've had. I'm just going to have to deal with it ... in the right way, " he told the Guardian.

He is soon scheduled to travel to Melbourne to train on the hardcourts in preparation for the US Open 2014. However, he expressed his interest in changing his coaching arrangements soon so that he can "spend more time in Canberra with his family when he's not touring", according to Sydney Morning Herald.

His current coach is Melbourne-based coach Simon Rea.

While celebrating his jump in APT rankings (currently world number 66), Nick Kyrgios has also been tending to a hip injury that he sustained from Wimbledon.

Read Nick Kyrgios' tweet about pulling back on Tennis Hall of Fame:

John Morris, Kyrgios' agent, has been sorting through the piles of sponsors eager to invest in the 19-year-old star.

Morris told Sydney Morning Herald, "We're not looking for short term gimmicks ... we're looking for partnerships with people looking to come on board and be part of the Nick Kyrgios brand and the Nick Kyrgios journey, and that's why we're being very selective in a sense of who we partner with and who we bring into that team."

Let me know in the comments below how you think Nick Kyrgios will fare this hardcourt season and at US Open 2014!
