Madden 15 Release Date is set to see the next generation of consoles particularly the PS4 and Xbox One action on August 26 as announced by EA Sports, publisher of the upcoming football game.

At the game’s press release earlier this year, EA promised that the game would have the “most immersive gameplay control in the history of the franchise,” alongside a teaser, which featured Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly, who is the reigning Defensive Player of the Year.

This teaser was revealed a couple of months back where there were no announcements yet of who will be on the cover of the game.

Earlier this month, however, a poll of who would be on the cover happened and Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton and Seattle Seahawks corner Richard Sherman were the finalist after garnering 9.6 million votes from fans.

With the total votes tallied, which led to a Richard Sherman win and with a “defensive theme” of the game seemed to be the focus of this year, the Superbowl champion and Seahawks standout worked best for the game to be the face of Madden 15.

"Richard Sherman is a fantastic cover athlete selection by the fans," said Anthony Stevenson, Vice President of Global Marketing for EA SPORTS. "Defense is a big focus for Madden NFL 15, and Sherman is one of the brightest defensive stars in the NFL. He shares the same energy and passion for the game as our 'legion' of Madden fans."

Madden 15 Release Date is scheduled for August 26 in the United States and August 29 in Europe. Madden 15 will be available across all platforms including PS4, PS3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
