Xiaomi Mi TV 2 Review: 49”Ultra HD TV Specs Incl. 1.4GHz Quad-core Processor, 2GB RAM, 15.5 MM Ultra-thin Frame, External Speakers; $640 Sale—A TV More Than You Bargained For

Xiaomi Mi TV 2 review: The 49-inch Ultra HD TV packs a punch. Sporting 3840x2160 resolution panel, 15.5mm ultra-thin frame, MStar quad-core 1.45GHz processor, 2GB RAM, 802.11ac 2x2 Wi-FI support, and not to mention an external speaker set, makers of the Xiaomi Mi TV 2 have brought to Asia another frontrunner in terms of quality television.

And all of its nifty fears are available for the pocket-friendly price of $640.

Here are some of the reasons why Xiaomi is giving its competitors a run for their money.

SLIM COLORFUL BURST. At hindsight, the Xiaomi Mi TV 2 is a real eye-candy. With all of its internal features to boot, it is only right that the outer look makes any techie’s mouth water. Its 6.2 aluminum bezel frame is anything but vibrant. Powered with 2GB of RAM, the TV still has room to spare in its memory. The 8GB uses micro SD which can allow it to expand its storage.

ONE-TOUCH EASY. The Mi TV 2 uses a Bluetooth remote control instead of an old infrared version. In case you lose your remote in the room, you can tap the bottom of the TV to make the remote beep, allowing you to find it without the unnecessary hassle. And if you really don’t find it, you can use your phone as an alternative remote control. You can install the remote control app on the phone to control your TV.

SOUND CHECK. Because of its ultra-thin 15.5mm body, the makers of the Mi TV 2 decided to use external stand-alone speakers instead. With an eight-inch speaker sound bar and 120W subwoofer, the Mi TV 2 guarantees quality sound system.

In spite of its positive feedback, some critics are saying that the Xiaomi Mi TV 2 is still too good to be true for its price. But after a series of bench tests, this budget TV has proven that quality and price can mix.
