Tecmo Koei has put out a new gameplay trailer for and announced the "Hyrule Warriors" release date. The trailer focuses on Zelda, the series' titular character, who also happens to be playable this time around.

A new gameplay video is now available for "Hyrule Warriors," a spinoff from the extremely popular "Legend of Zelda" series.

The Hylian princess, Zelda, who is best known for being a damsel in distress throughout the "Legend of Zelda" series, gets a reprieve from being kidnapped by Ganondorf to actually arm herself in battle with a sword and bow-and-arrow.

Another video, linked to at the end of the article, shows the series main character Link. The video showcases some of the character's moves as well as some short sequences taken from a boss battle where Link uses bombs to stun the enemy and deal massive amounts of damage.

A new batch of Hyrule Warriors screenshots were also made available last week. The screenshots showcased some of the newly revealed playable characters like Zelda and Midna as well as Link and Impa.

"Hyrule Warriors" release date has been confirmed during the E3 2014 Nintendo Digital Event. The game, developed by Tecmo Koei and Team Ninja, is going to be released in North America on September 26th, around 40 days after the Japanese release.

Hyrule Warriors will launch on August 14th in Japan and on September 26th in North America. More character videos are going to be made available soon so stay tuned for all the latest updates on the game.

Fans will be delighted to discover that she appears to be every bit as capable as Link and the other playable characters in the game.

Previous trailers published by Tecmo Koei have showcased Link, Impa, and the Fire Rod item.

"Hyrule Warriors" release date is set for a September 26 in the United States ("Hyrule Warriors" release date for Japan is August), and is exclusive to the Nintendo Wii U.
