'Final Fantasy 15' Release Date, News, Progress Report: No PC Version To Be Released: Game Previously Called 'Final Fantasy Versus' Has Been Delayed So Square Enix Can Use Direct X 11 [PHOTO]

"Final Fantasy" fans have been rabidly awaiting news about "Final Fantasy 15" release date. Everyone anticipated that Square Enix would make some kind of announcement at this years E3, but they didn't.

Fans have worried about what's happening with the game, as the execs have been very secretive about the "Final Fantast 15" release date and progress, until this week.

Yosuka Matsuda, the CEO of Square Enix, talked about using Direct X 11 tools for the game, which might have caused the delay. "We haven't decided when, but we're currently preparing new information that may meet everyone's expectations. Please wait for a little while longer," Matsuda said.

Elsewhere, a news broke out that "Final Fantasy 15" will no longer be released in PC platform. Daniel Sims of Attack of the Fanboy answered a question via Twitter regarding the PC version of the game. "@ForgetAmnesia Square Enix has started the same trend. FFXV and KHIII are all being developed "on DirectX 11," but no PC versions so far." However, Square Enix hasn't confirmed nor denied this claim.

Back in June, game producer Shinji Hashimoto released a statement to Famitsu.com about "Finaly Fantasy 15" release date. It was in Japanese but SQEX.Info have translated it. Hashimoto said, "First, I'd like to say that development for FFXV is going well. Internally, we try to ascertain the best timing for revealing new information about FFXV to the fans. So when we were going over our promotion plans, we judged that this year's E3 would not be the best time to exhibit information about FFXV."

He continued, "Instead, we are currently planning to exhibit new information at events after E3 2014. I am extremely grateful to all the fans who excitedly anticipate "Final Fantasy 15", and I'm looking forward to share new information when the timing is right. I would appreciate if fans hold out until then."

As for the probable release date, Gear Nuke gives a bit of information about this. David Gibson, Senior Research Analyst for Square Enix said that they are expecting lower game sales this year. If you can get the hint, this might just mean that "Final Fantasy 15" won't be released before the fiscal year ends, which is March 2015.

The story is about a young king who swears to defend the world's last crystal from the "Hectic Order." The battle is about a king's struggle to save the old ways as the fight rages between modern and ancient technology.

According to reports, company producer Shinji Hashimoto said the title will be out by March 2015, but currently it appears it will be mid-to-late next year.

"Final Fantasy 15" news has been rare, and gamers wonder when the release date will be confirmed.

For "Final Fantasy 15," game execs and producers ask fans to be more patient as they will surely reveal some of the game details at some point. Hashimoto said the development of the game is going smoothly and further information will be disclosed later.

According to Daniel Sims' Twitter post, there will not be a Final Fantasy 15 PC version. "@ForgetAmnesia Square Enix has started the same trend. FFXV and KHIII are all being developed "on DirectX 11," but no PC versions so far."

According to Gear Nuke, Square Enix Senior Analyst David Gibson said the firm currently expects lower game sales than last year. This may suggest "Final Fantasy 15" released date won't be until March 2015, which is when the company's 2014 fiscal year ends.
