While the Aaron Hernandez murder case trial continues, the New England Patriots insisted that it owes the former tight end "not a penny more" from his contract. Meanwhile, the sheriff of Bristol County expects the athlete to be back in his facility soon.

The legal team for the former tight end's team released a statement that said, "The Patriots believe under the terms of that contract that they owe not another penny to Mr. Hernandez." The statement was in reaction to the Boston Globe report about the NFL Player's Union suing the team on behalf of Aaron Hernandez as he claims the team still owes him money from his contract extension.

"And in a final defiant gesture, attorneys Goldberg, Phelan, and Renshaw, who represent the Patriots, say that if, after arbitration, the team is ordered to pay Hernandez any additional money, the team will not pay anything without a court order," wrote Matthew Rewinski for SI's Fansided.

Meanwhile, Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson told TMZ Sports that the transfer of his former ward in relation to the Aaron Hernandez murder case trial is only temporary.

He said that he has no "hard feelings" toward the murder suspect, and he expects him to be transferred back to Bristol County once the trial on Odin Lloyd's murder will start.

Earlier, the Boston's CBS revealed Aaron Hernandez murder case trial update when it reported that the former tight end will be moved to Nashua jail from the Bristol County Jail so he could be near his lawyers.

Suffolk County sheriff Steven Tompkins said that Aaron Hernandez won't get special treatment while at the Nashua jail. Just like any inmate, he will be assessed to determine if he will be placed among the general population or in isolation.

He said that the former tight end won't be "treated any differently than any other pretrial detainee."

The Nashua jail cell measures roughly 7 feet x 10 feet and two to three beds along with a toilet.
