Gwen Stefani joins "The Voice" when the popular singing competition show returns next season and she's taking along some extra help.

Gwen Stefani says will be advised by Gavin Rossdale on "The Voice USA."

Stefani took to Twitter to exclaim "it's official! so excited to have @GavinRossdale on #TeamGwen gx"

The No Doubt singer says her husband, who sings for the rock outfit Bush, will help her out in the second stage of the competition.

Gavin Rossdale broke the news on Twitter that he will mentor Gwen Stefani's contestants on Season 7.

"This fall, honored to be part of #TheVoice w/ the lovely & talented @gwenstefani," he tweeted Monday.

Gwen told Access Hollywood "He is super articulate and he has a really good opinion and he is smart and he's been doing a really good job. ... We both have, I think, a lot of experience in the sense that when you look back at all the shows and all the things we've done - and I mean, we all met like touring together and doing hundreds of shows - and it's so fun to be in the position to meet [all of the contestants].

Rossdale and Stefani, have been married since 2002. They Gwen and Gavin have three sons Kingston, eight, Zuma, five, and four-month-old Apollo.

The musical pair will be joined by Fleetwood Mac legend Stevie Nicks, who will act as mentor to Adam Levine's singer.

Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green are taking a hiatus from The Vloice and Stefani will join new recruit, "Happy" singer Pharrell Williams.

Pharrell has not yet named his mentoring assistant, but the odds on favorite is Daft Punk.

Gavin follows in the footsteps of Miranda Lambert, who acted as advisor to her husband Blake Sheldon in the second season.

Stefani will also face some tough competition from Blake Shelton, who said "I've never actually met her. I know who she is and I know some of her music, and I look forward to beating anybody on this show, honestly."

The Voice kicks off its seventh season Monday, Sept. 22 at 8/7c on NBC.
