"Grey's Anatomy" season 11 has been given its premiere date, and now spoilers have surfaced from Shonda Rhimes regarding what is ahead for Meredith Grey.

According to spoilers by TVLine, "Grey's Anatomy" season 11 will jump ahead in time. But how much?

"About 24 hours…maybe," teased creator Shonda Rhimes.

Allegedly, "Grey's Anatomy" season 11 will begin with Meredith Grey reeling from the departure of her best friend, her husband potentially leaving for D.C., and the arrival of her half-sister.

“Right now, if you were in the writers’ room, you would probably tell me that the theme is ‘Meredith.' Because all I keep saying is, ‘The show is just about Meredith Grey!’"

“It’s really a Meredith-centric season. She’s lost her ‘person,’ her [half-]sister has shown up, her husband is chafing to go someplace else…”

According to spoilers, Meredith's reaction to Maggie “will be influenced by what Meredith went through with Lexie."

But, with both Patrick Dempsey and Ellen Pompeo staying on for at least another two years, fans should have little to worry about in "Grey's Anatomy" season 11 of the pair breaking it off completely.

Recently, ABC has also confirmed the premiere date for "Grey's Anatomy" season 11. Reportedly, the series will return on Thursday, September 25 at 8:00pm EST. "Scandal" will premiere at 9:00pm on the same date, as well as Shonda Rhimes' new creation "How to Get Away With Murder" starring Viola Davis at 10:00pm EST.
