Stevie Nicks From Fleetwood Mac Joins `The Voice’ on Adam Levine’s Team

Stevie Nicks, the legendary singer of the band Fleetwood Mac will be joining The Voice season 7 as an advisor on the Adam Levine team. Stevie Nicks and Adam Levine join new judges Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani who are former judges Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera.

"The Voice" season 7 will air this fall.

"The Voice" broke the news on Twitter last week, tweeting "#TeamAdam it's time to welcome @StevieNicks to #TheVoice family!"

Nicks told Extra "I just think it's a great show. And I know (Adam Levine) would never still be sitting here seven years later if this wasn't a great show."

Nicks and Levine come from different sides of rock/pop music, but during the finale of The Voice Season 1, Team Adam performed a version of "Landslide," which Nicks wrote for Fleetwood Mac.

Nicks said "I won the first season, actually. I did! I flew in, barely made the show, no rehearsal, then Javier won. I looked at Adam and went, 'He won!'"

One of NBC's most popular shows, "The Voice" scouts talent. Aspiring singers, age 15 and over, take part in a "blind audition." The strongest singers then compete in front of a panel of four celebrity judges. The celebrities critique the singers' performances.

"The Voice" started out with the celebrity panel of Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green and Levine as mentors. They have also featured Usher and Shakira.

Earlier this year Fleetwood Mac announced that keyboardist, singer/songwriter Christine McVie will be rejoining the band for a 34-date "On With the Show" world tour. The tour opens Tuesday, Sept. 30 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Fleetwood Mac will also release a new studio album.
