YG Entertainement Announces Their New Survival Competition Program With Bang Ye Dam & Trainees

It appears that hit Korean TV program 'Produce I.O.I' has started a new trend throughout Asia - especially when it comes to survival programs.

In an attempt to scout out new singers, YG Entertainment has recently made an announcement regarding the launch of their very own survival program. On June 19th, YG Entertainment stated that the debut members of the boy group will be selected through a new survival program, which is scheduled to launch in the latter half of this year.

Many fans speculated that YG will draw influences and develop a similar concept to 'Produce I.O.I,' since the Chinese have already adapted the same concept into their television programs. However, it was revealed that show will be taking on similarities to other popular shows such as 'Mix & Match' and 'WIN: Who's Next'; the survival programs that produced the groups' WINNER and iKON. What do you think of this new YG development?
