Starship Entertainment Announces Official Debut Date for Upcoming Girl Group IVE
Back on November 7, Starship Entertainment unveiled the last member of their upcoming girl group, IVE, through a set of profile photos.
After revealing the group's six members, the label has finally announced when they would be making their highly-anticipated debut.
On IVE's official social media account, Starship Entertainment released a "Coming Soon" poster, which features the IVE's official logo and the date December 1, 2021, which will be their debut date.
For the past week, Starship Entertainment has been releasing profile photos of the members, as well as their stage names and date of birth.
Former "Produce 48" contestant and IZ*ONE member Ahn Yujin, who was the first to be revealed, will serve as the group's leader and vocalist. Born on September 1, 2003, she is currently 18 years old.
Gaeul, who was born on September 24, 2002, and is the oldest member, will be IVE's rapper.
Another former "Produce 48" contestant and IZ*ONE member, Jang Wonyoung, is also part of the group's lineup as a vocalist. She is born on August 31, 2004 and is currently 17 years old.

Liz, who was born on November 21, 2004, is a vocalist in the group.
IVE will also have one Japanese member, Rei, who was born on February 3, 2004 and will be both a rapper and vocalist of IVE.
And finally, the the sixth and final member of the group will be Leeseo, who is the vocalist and youngest member of the group. Born on February 21, 2007, Leeseo is currently 14 years old.
Following the announcement of members, IVE already has a positive reception, with many complimenting the group for having members that are complete visuals and exude a clean and chic charisma.
Meanwhile, IVE is a shortened version of "I HAVE," which is meant to represent the group's aspirations in showcasing the kind of skills and qualities that they have to the public.
IVE will also be Starship Entertainment's first girl group after five years since the debut of Cosmic Girls (WJSN) back in February 2016 and the first group since CRAVITY's debut in April 2020.

IVE's Debut Concept Receives Mixed Reactions
IVE is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated girl group debuts this year, and with that, many are excited to know more about their concept and image.
While there are no official announcements yet regarding what kind of concept or image IVE will be debuting with, netizens are split with what it should be.
Based on the profile photos of each IVE member, it seems that the group is leaning more towards the "girl crush" concept. However, that concept is drawing mixed reactions.
Some are hoping IVE doesn't debut with a "girl crush" concept as they deem it over-used, and instead, to go with something dreamy and magical. While some are fine or aren't too worried about the concept, as long as IVE performs well.
