EXO Xiumin to Possibly Make His Solo Debut This 2022 with the Release of a Solo Album
On Jan. 4, Clash (a music and fashion magazine) released an article consisting of the interview they had with EXO member Xiumin.
During the interview, they asked the "Don't Fight the Feeling" singer about various topics, from his clothing collaboration with Represent and his personal style to his activities in 2021 and his goals for 2022.
Regarding his goals for this year, EXO Xiumin hinted at his possible solo debut. He said that he is preparing a solo album so that he can release it this year.

Xiumin also said that he wants to try acting this 2022, but most of all, his No. 1 wish is that everyone around him will have a healthy year.
While EXO member Xiumin would make his official solo debut this year, he previously dropped his first solo song "You" as part of SM Station 3, a digital musical venture of his label, SM Entertainment. The track came out two days after his military enlistment back in May 2019.

As of writing, SM Entertainment has not released a statement to officially announce the release of Xiumin's solo album. If his solo debut will be confirmed later on, he will be the seventh EXO member to do so, following Chen, Suho, Baekhyun, Lay, Kai, and D.O.
Meanwhile, EXO-Ls are already showing their excitement about the good news on Twitter. Many fans are trending the hashtag "#XIUMIN," which has become a top trending topic on social media with 26.5K tweets.

EXO Xiumin's Solo Activities after His Military Discharge in 2021
Since his military discharge in January 2021, Xiumin has been busy with his solo activities. He appeared in several domestic TV shows either as a guest, a cast member or a host. In particular, he served as the host for the first and second seasons of "Drink with God" and was the main cast of his own variety show "Xiumin's Tennis King Tomorrow."
About his guest appearances, he showed up in tvN's "Things That Make Me Groove" with his bandmate Baekhyun and MBC's "Where is My Home."

In 2021, EXO Xiumin also released a new solo OST, titled "To My One and Only You." It is one of the soundtracks for "Mr. Queen," starring Kim Jung Hyun and Shin Hye Sun.
Other than that, Xiumin was chosen to play the main character Orpheus in the musical "Hadestown," which took place at LG Art Center in Seoul starting in August.
Apart from his solo activities, Xiumin also had a short group activity. He participated in EXO's long-awaited group comeback in June with their special album "Don't Fight the Feeling." It was previously revealed that Xiumin and D.O. were the ones who suggested that they return as a group.
