BoA's Draws Criticism as Credibility as Judge on Mnet's 'Street Man Fighter' is Questioned
Veteran solo artist and Queen of K-pop, BoA, is currently continuing her role as a judge for Mnet's dance survival program Street Man Fighter. Prior to this, BoA had also taken on the role as a judge for the female version of the show, the highly popular Street Woman Fighter.
For this season, BoA is joined by Super Junior member Eunhyuk and 2PM member Wooyoung as a judge, with Kang Daniel reprising his role as the host.
From the get-go, fans had high expectations for Street Man Fighter given the success of its predecessors, including Street Girl Fighter. However, the show had been plagued with several controversies - from its producers to its dancers - even before Street Man Fighter began airing.

However, BoA is once again at the center of netizens' ire, as many criticized the idol's credibility as a judge on the show despite her years of experience being in the entertainment industry. In fact, BoA is well-known for her dance and singing skills as a solo artist.
Netizens have taken to BoA's social media account to terrorize the singer on her judging skills. Some comments read:
"BoA, if you are a judge, please do things properly."
"Please do something about your judging... please."
"Who are you to judge SMF and SWF? Are you a better dancer than them?"
"Is this really a judge for SMF?"
"BoA playing at being the queen bee... Just who is judging who... Jay Park had personally said that he was in discussions with Mnet for [SMF] but it got called off. I can tell just the reason as to why it got called off was. Because BoA would not be able to play at being the queen bee then. If a professional judge with experience in the street scene came, then people would not even notice BoA on the screen. Next season, please just volunteer to not be on it."
BoA Accused of 'Flirting' With 'Street Man Fighter' Dancers
Not only that, but netizens have also accused BoA of "flirting" with the show's dancers, and have also called out the idol for this on her social media.
Some comments say:
"How dare you be a judge when you don't know anything about dancing and can only sing? Why are you trying to seduce the men?! Did they give you money or something?"
"[I] bet there was some under the table money."
"This is not a comedy show where you win if you are funny and flirty. What are you doing will all of these top dancers..."
"It is a program to choose who the best dancer is... not you ideal type."
"Did you suddenly grow a dislike for 5000? I am not a fan of all eight crews, but you are f*cking not even looking at him."
