BOYNEXTDOOR Riwoo Cancels Schedule for 2023 Music Bank Global Festival Due to Visa Issues
The "One and Only" singer would not be attending the special event.
On December 7, BOYNEXTDOOR's agency KOZ Entertainment officially announced that Riwoo would be sitting out his schedule for the 2023 Music Bank Global Festival. The highly anticipated event will be held on December 9, in Japan.
According to sources, Riwoo would be unable to attend the occasion due to issues with his passport and visa, preventing him from entering Japan. The agency also shared that there was an attempt to resolve the issue but failed due to lack of sufficient time.

KOZ Entertainment also apologized to fans and assured that the issue would be resolved to prevent further travel problems from occurring.

"Hello. This is KOZ Entertainment.
We are here to announce that Riwoo of BOYNEXTDOOR will be unable to participate in the upcoming 2023 Music Bank Global Festival scheduled on December 9 and which is set to take place in Japan.
Riwoo will not be able to complete his schedule in Japan due to personal issues with his passport and visa, making him unable to enter the country. The agency has tried to solve the issue through various procedures.
However, it was difficult to resolve the problem before the concert schedule and has become impossible for Riwoo to leave. Consequently, we released this statement to let you know that Riwoo will not be appearing at the 2023 Music Bank Global Festival.
We are expressing our sincerest apologies to fans who are anticipating Riwoo's performance at the event. To prevent this kind of issue from happening again in future schedules abroad, we will take precautionary measures.
We kindly ask for everyone's consideration.

In other news, the MelOn Music Awards (MMA) 2023 was held on December 2, at 5 p.m., KST, at the INSPIRE Arena, Yeongjongdo, Incheon. The awards show was also attended by BOYNEXTDOOR.
At the ceremony, BOYNEXTDOOR received the trophy for Global Rising Artist, which proves their increasing popularity across international areas.
Their buzz didn't stop here since BOYNEXTDOOR is scheduled to set out on their year-end schedules. Aside from the 2023 MMAs, BOYNEXTDOOR is also set to attend the upcoming 2023 Asia Artist Awards on December 14, in the Philippines.
The group was also nominated for Rookie Artist of the Year at the 38th Golden Disc Awards, which is slated for January 6, 2024.
