38th Golden Disc Awards Winners (2024): SEVENTEEN & NewJeans Win Daesang

Congratulations to the winners at the 38th Golden Disc Awards! In this ceremony, various K-pop idols were recognized for their excellence in music!

On January 6 at 8:30 p.m. KST, the yearly Golden Disc Awards (GDA 2024) was held at Jakarta International Stadium in Indonesia.

In collaboration with JTBC2, the awards ceremony was broadcast live featuring a star-studded lineup who graced the red carpet before the main program started.

On this day, ASTRO Cha Eun Woo along with veteran singer Sung Si Kyung hosted the show, which was participated by stars such as SEVENTEEN, NewJeans, Stray Kids, ENHYPEN, ZEROBASEONE, STAYC, LE SSERAFIM, Parc Jae Jung, BOYNEXTDOOR, IVE, TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT), LA POEM, KEENA (FIFTY FIFTY), and YB.

On the red carpet, these stars light up the event with their stunning visuals and presence flaunting 'fits under the color theme of black, white, khaki, red and blue.

Among numerous artists who had awesome releases last year, SEVENTEEN & NewJeans shone out the brightest, leading them to take home the daesang (grand prize) awards.

SEVENTEEN, who won the Disc Daesang or Album of the Year with their 10th mini-album, "FML" also snagged three other trophies including Digital Song Bonsang for both BSS (feat. Young Ji) "Fighting," and SEVENTEEN's "Super." The group then took Album Bonsang for "FML."

During their acceptance speech, the boy group thanked fans and their co-members, saying:

"We're in our 10th year now, and I'm thankful to the members who worked tirelessly with us."

NewJeans, SEVENTEEN's junior girl group under HYBE then took the Digital Bonsang (Song of the Year) with their single, "Ditto."
Along with this, they also got the Digital Song Bonsang for the same track.

NewJeans felt grateful and said:

"Many people like our songs and are with us, so we are grateful every time we perform. I hope many people will enjoy the songs we sing as we do now."

Lastly, ZEROBASEONE and FIFTY FIFTY Keena were named the Rookie of the Year.
