Pokemon X And Y [VIDEO]: The Gym Leaders We Know So Far, Theories On Their Types, And Potential Fairy-Type Gym Leader?

With Pokemon X and Pokemon Y being released October 12, fans have been getting quite a bit of inside scoop, the latest being new Kalos gym leaders.

Here's a rundown of what we know, as well as predictions on their types and the remaining gym leaders.

The first gym leader the protagonist will encounter in Pokemon X and Y is Viola in Santalune City. Starting from the player's hometown, Vaniville Town, it is conveniently the first city one encounters.

Viola specializes in bug-type Pokemon and in a recent trailer, fans caught a glimpse of its appropriately webby gym. In addition to her gym leader duties, Viola is an accomplished photographer as well.

In the most recent Corocoro update, two new gym leaders have been revealed. Clemont is a science geek who loves creating machines and hanging out with his sister Bonnie.

Grant, on the other hand, is an athletic type who's into rock climbing and cycling.

Given the sequence of the reveals, gamers are theorizing that Clemont and Grant will be the second and third gym leaders we encounter. Although no official announcements have been made regarding their specialty, the most popular theories for Clemont is steel-type, while Grant is fighting or rock.

What do you think their types are?

With their types being kept under wraps, does this mean a fairy-type gym leader is on the horizon?

Given that quite a few fairy-type Pokemon have been introduced, including the Legendary Pokemon Xerneas, this would make the most logical sense.
