‘Masters of Sex’ season 2 premiered in flying colors last week. While the pacing of the episode was a little strange, the season premiere packed in enough drama to last the show at least fifteen more seasons. With Barton’s attempt at suicide (not to mention the rather troubling electro therapy session), Virginia saying no to the most saint-like man alive and Bill Masters getting really horny after confessing his feels to Virginia, it took a whole week to digest all that drama.

But now that’s more settled in our brains, we are ready to see Bill Masters’ new office at the Memorial hospital in ‘Masters of Sex’ season 2 episode 2 with the Peanut King and ex-prostitute Betty in tow. Not only that, we know that Michael Sheen’s girlfriend Sarah Silverman is playing Helen, Betty’s lesbian lover, so she may be making her first screen appearance in episode 2.

With the level of drama that’s plaguing the Scully household, the whole episode can easily be just about Margaret, Barton and Vivian. Will Margaret decide to live and let live? Will Barton go crazy with attempting to “fix” his sexuality again? Will Vivian be scarred forever by witnessing her own father hanging by his neck in the basement?

But let’s be real. The real missed presence in ‘Masters of Sex’ this season is Ethan Haas. The actor playing him has been relegated as a recurring character, but that doesn’t mean that he can contribute to the Virginia-Bill-Ethan love triangle. He must. He must win Virginia back although if you are familiar with the history of the study of sexology, you probably will know that he won’t sweep Virginia off her feet and away from Bill Masters.
