Girls' Generation's 'I Got A Boy' MV Hits 100 Million Views On YouTube

Girls' Generation is all about setting records in the music industry.

The nine-member girl group hit the 100 million-view mark on YouTube with the music video for their song "I Got A Boy," according to SM Entertainment.

"I Got A Boy" was released this past January and has gotten the attention of both fans and international media outlets for its addictive melody and colorful music video.

This isn't the first time Girls' Generation passed the 100 million mark on the video-sharing website. Their track "Gee" was also one of the songs that made the cut, but it took 3 years and 10 months for the group to make the huge accomplishment.

The idol group's 2011 hit "The Boys" should also be joining the 100 million-view group soon, as it currently has 96 million views and counting, according to Pop Dust.

Girls' Generation continues to amaze with their 1st Japanese album "THE BEST," which has managed to maintain its No. 1 spot on the Oricon Daily Album Chart for three consecutive days, according the publication Allkpop.

"THE BEST," which was released on July 23, sold 37,104 copies on the day of its release. The album has gone on to sell 10,296 copies on July 24 and 7,267 copies the day after.

The members of Girls' Generation have become international sensations through their contribution to Korean pop music as well as the popping visuals of their music videos. Girls' Generation has become so big that rising superstar Lorde even showed love for the group recently.

Lorde is currently in Japan because she is set to perform at the Shinagwa Prince Hotel Stellar Ball tomorrow. Coincidentally, Girls' Generation is in Japan as well, promoting "THE BEST."

The New Zealand singer posted a picture of a billboard of "THE BEST" on her Instagram with the caption, "hi gg nice to see you ok bye now (love you)."
