Pharrell Williams Tour 2014: 'Happy' Singer Continues Road Trip For Shows; Singer Curated NBA 2k15 Soundtrack - 'Excited For The Outcome'

Pharrell Williams is set to have his Tour this 2014 after gaining musical success in the past two years headed by the song "Happy" and his collaboration with the electronic duo Daft Punk.

The 41-year old singer is expected to go on the road starting September 9 where he will be visiting United Kingdom and visit Europe until October 16 where he will end up in Paris, France.

Meanwhile, the music producer is set to curate the soundtrack of the upcoming 2k Sports game, NBA 2k15.

In a report by Billboard, Pharrell said that picking out the songs were tricky for him as he thought about targeting a wider audience especially following NBA 2k14 produced by Jay Z, which made Williams nervous about.

"I had some people from my staff -- they were all girls and women -- and we just talked about it," said Williams. "I was like, 'I have to do this, [but] I don't know if I'm gonna be able to pull this off, because Jay did it and LeBron.' I'm like, man, how do I follow up those guys? They know so much more about the sport than I do."

"There are girls that play the game and there's a lot of girls that are around it ... so I thought it'd be such an interesting twist to have the girls weigh in on the song list, because they listen to it just as much," he explained. "I tried to pick an alternative approach, because how do you follow up LeBron and Jay? I gotta take a different route. When we finished looking at the list, it felt right."

"I'm tripping out that we get to put this music out," he said about the soundtrack. "This never happens -- the system is never like that, where you look up and go 'Wow, we just pulled that off.' I'm pumped and excited."

Meanwhile, 2k Sports is equally pumped and excited as the singer/producer as they said they are looking for the most eclectic soundtrack in their franchise ever.

"Pharrell's passion and reputation as a visionary producer and expertise from working with the NBA will be evident in the largest and most eclectic NBA 2K soundtrack ever," said Alfie Brody, Vice President of Marketing for 2K. "We really listened to our fans' feedback on how we could improve their experience from a music standpoint, and we're confident Pharrell's collaboration in NBA 2K15 will impress players as much as it's impressed us."
