Austin Butler Signs On To Season 3 Of “Arrow” On The CW! But Which Series Regular Will He Be Romancing?

Austin Butler is jumping from one CW show to another.

The 23-year-old actor may have melted hearts on "The Carrie Diaries," but it sounds like he'll have his heart stolen when he joins the cast of "Arrow" this fall.

According to Variety, Butler will play a charming DJ named Chase who cozies up to Thea, Oliver Queen's younger sister.

Butler portrayed sweet rich boy Sebastian Kydd on "The Carrie Diaries," a prequel to HBO's "Sex and the City." While he won fans by wooing young Carrie Bradshaw, the show, like most teen romance, was short lived. The series was cancelled in May.

But hunky Butler, also known as Vanessa Hudgens' real-life boyfriend, must have captivated the network.

As Chase, Butler may find himself in a love triangle, since Thea's on again, off again relationship with secret vigilante Roy Harper is bound to cause complications.

Meanwhile, Butler's new role is not the only piece of casting news out of the "Arrow" camp recently. The CW series has also added Matt Nable and J. R. Ramirez to the cast.

Nable, an Australian actor perhaps best known for his role in the Vin Diesel film "Riddick," will play villain Ra's al Ghul.

According to Variety, "Ra's is a ruthless strategist, a master of martial arts, and a shaper of history" who "carries the wisdom of the ages, and protects some of its greatest secrets."

The Australian actor is perhaps best known for his role in the Vin Diesel film "Riddick."

It was announced in late July that Ramirez would be taking on the role of Wildcat in the upcoming season. Variety reports that the character will be a "former boxer with a mysterious past who now runs a gym for underprivileged youths." Wildcat will allegedly be involved in a storyline with Laurel Lance, played by Katie Cassidy.

Season 3 of Arrow will premiere on The CW on Oct. 8th
