Friends have gathered to show their support for MTV reality star Diem Brown as she battles cancer for the third time by participating in the "Run for Her" event.

Through participating at the "Run for Her" event, friends of MTV reality star Diem Brown extended their support as "The Challenge" star fights cancer one more time.

According to an article by Alicia Quarles for E! News, she and Brown had previously planned to participate in the event, considering that Brown was a cancer survivor.

But as Brown recently learned that she has cancer once again, her participation was changed from running the 5k race to making an appearance. "Diem arrived in a wheelchair with her walker laid over her legs," Quarles wrote.

While the relapse of cancer is heartbreaking, Brown was the face of courage in the event. "Despite seeing how much weight she's lost, or the fact that this evil cancer has now taken her ability to walk, Diem has the strength - spiritual, mental and physical - unlike anyone I've ever known," Quarles added.

The event was reportedly Brown's first time to leave the house after undergoing hysterectomy for her colon cancer.

"Going to 'Run for Her' was a complete high," Brown reportedly said. "Not only for being my first outing since my surgery, but it was also so unbelievably heart-warming to see how many people came out to support ovarian cancer research."

After the event, Brown was reportedly delighted with the outcome and the support her friends have been giving her as she fights against cancer. "I cannot express my gratitude and how much my friends mean to me. They have been my rock when everything else has been so uncertain," said Brown.

"The Challenge" star's battle with cancer started in 2005, at age 23, when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She was able to overcome it but had a relapse two years ago, which she was again able to overcome.

Last month, MTV reality star Diem Brown learned that she had cancer for the third time, with the ovarian cancer she fought with twice making relapse and now spreading to her colon.
