Oscar Pistorius Murder Case: Prosecution ‘Missed Crucial Piece Of Evidence?’ ‘Blade Runner’s’ Father Awaits ‘Long Talk’ With Son

Oscar Pistorius murder case update reveals that the prosecution "missed crucial piece of evidence" that would have drastically change the outcome of the ruling, as "Blade Runner's" father is looking forward to a long talk with his son.

The Eyewitness News dished out on the Oscar Pistorius murder case based on the book "Behind the Door," by South African journalists Barry Bateman and Mandy Wiener.

The book claimed that the police failed to uncover the evidence about the phone calls made by Oscar Pistorius.

"The EWN investigation has further revealed that Pistorius was talking to his ex-girlfriend minutes before he arrived home to Steenkamp on the eve of the Valentine's Day shooting," the publication said.

Accordingly, "The athlete had a nine-minute long conversation with Jenna Edkins, whose number had been saved under the name 'Babyshoes', just hours before he killed the model at his luxury Pretoria East home."

The two journalists claimed that police didn't make a connection because the phone his ex-girlfriend was using was registered to her father.

But the Eyewitness News talked to a source close to Oscar Pistorius' defense team who explained that the revelations in the book were not what the public was looking for.

"The 'Blade Runner's' lawyers knew about the phone call to Edkins all along and had consulted with her," it added.

Meanwhile, in other Oscar Pistorius murder case update, Henke Pistorius, the Paralympian's father, claimed that he has not spoken with his son since the shooting, according to a report from the Telegraph.

"We've said in various conversations and SMSes [text messages] we must get together and have a long talk. Since the tragedy he hasn't had a decent talk with me. He hasn't yet talked to me from his heart. I know it's going to happen. It's going to happen soon and it will be good for both of us," Henke Pistorius told the publication.
