Oscar Pistorius Murder Case UPDATE: Slain Girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp's Family To Pay Paralympian? 'Blade Runner's' Sister Emotional At Sentencing Hearing

Oscar Pistorius murder case update has taken a dramatic turn as slain girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp's family will reportedly pay the Paralympian around £6,300, instead of the other way around. Meanwhile, the "Blade Runner's" sister was very emotional at the sentencing hearing.

In the Oscar Pistorius murder case update from MailOnline, it was reported that Reeva Steenkamp's parents won't pursue a civil claim against the Paralympian for shooting to death their daughter.

Their lawyer, Dup de Bruyn, released a statement on Wednesday saying that Barry and June Steenkamp will remain neutral on Pistorius' sentence for culpable homicide. He was cleared of the murder charge as the prosecutor failed to prove its case.

The statement came on the heels after the lawyers for Oscar Pistorius leaked to the media regarding the payments. De Bruyn said that both sides agreed to total confidentiality when slain girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp's parents accepted £345 from Pistorius starting in March 2013 until last month.

"After Miss Steenkamp (the deceased) was killed... the parents were in financial difficulties. We were contacted soon afterwards by Mr Pistorius' lawyers with an offer that Mr Pistorius would contribute an amount... towards the parents' rental and living expenses," the statement said.

However, further Oscar Pistorius murder case update reveal that the Steenkamps refused the offer of £21,000 or about 375,354 rand as they think it's "blood money."

"When the parents were made aware of this offer, they considered it carefully but decided, for various reasons, that they did not want any payment from Mr Pistorius. This is also why we were instructed to advise that no civil claim would be instituted," the statement added.

Meanwhile, in another Oscar Pistorius murder case update, the Paralympian's sister Aimee reportedly cried after she was verbally harassed by a member of the anti-Pistorius camp at the sidelines of the sentencing hearing on Thursday, said the Telegraph.

Oscar Pistorius' sister accused Mikey Schultz saying that the latter told her "f-k you" when she asked the court to remove him from the family bench.
