Today marks the premiere of "Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend," or as Japanese speaking fans know it, "Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata." Episode 0 entitled "Fan Service of Love and Youth," was streamed for fans outside of Japan on Hulu and Funimation thanks to Aniplex. For those without subscriptions however, below are two links to websites where "Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend" is available to stream for free online.

Synopsis:

The episode begins with a discussion between three high school girls discussing anime. Well, it begins with Kasumigaoka criticizing Sawamura's taste in anime - specifically because it was a "lame harem anime." Hyodo meanwhile just criticizes the girls for being in high school and still caring about anime. They do all this while they're in a hot spring naked. They're also being watched by Tomoya.

It appears this episode functions as introduction rather than the main story of the episode, as Tomoya introduces his production team for the game he's developing. The team consists of him, Sawamura, Kasumigaoka, and Hyodo. Megumi is also there. Tomoya notes that the conversation has slipped into natural exposition. Sawamura sets out to draw the scenery for this location.

While Sawamura spots some dramatic situation with Megumi, Kasumigaoka tries out a scenario on Tomoya. Sawamura runs over to prevent Tomoya from becoming "seduced by her feminine wilds." Hyodo drags Tomoya away while the other girls argue. She plays in the nearby lake with him and while she teases him by settling on top of him, Megumi says it's time to check into the hotel.

Sawamura and Kasumigaoka continue their rivalry at the hotel with a game of ping pong. Meanwhile Tomoyo is completely destroyed at ping pong by Hyodo. Later the girls torture Tomoya for their one sided "business" relationship surrounding designing the dating sim game. He apologizes and offers the girls the opportunity to quit. More sensual torture ensues.

Later Tomoya walks alone with Megumi and informs her that she's the most important part of the group as the heroine of the game. It is revealed that it has been six months since Tomoya noticed her. She mentions that they must be close to finishing the game and internally hopes that everyone loves it when they release it.
